We are accepting new patients

Shore View Dental has been the family dentist in Pacifica since 1997, and we are taking new patients of all ages — from children at age one through to adults and older patients.

Call (650) 738-2100 or use the appointment form. We are at 731 Oceana Boulevard, Pacifica, CA 94044, open Monday to Thursday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What happens at your first visit

Set aside 60 to 90 minutes. A first visit normally includes:

  • A comprehensive exam
  • Digital X-rays
  • A cleaning
  • A consultation with one of our dentists to go through your dental history and any concerns

One thing worth knowing in advance. Exam, X-rays and cleaning are normally done in the same appointment. If the exam shows you need scaling and root planing — a deeper cleaning below the gum line for gum disease — that is booked as a separate visit.

What to bring

  • Photo identification
  • Your dental insurance card, if you have one
  • A list of any medications you take
  • The name of your previous dentist, if you would like your records transferred
  • For a child, a parent or guardian

Parents are welcome in the operatory during a child's appointment. Dr. Vafi, who has trained in pediatric dentistry, sees our younger patients.

Insurance and payment

We work with MetLife, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna Dental, Aetna, Humana, Guardian, Principal Financial Group and many other PPO plans. If yours is not listed, call and we will verify your benefits before your visit.

Delta Dental: Dr. Sepi Vafi is a Delta Dental Premier provider. Our other dentists are not contracted with Delta Dental, so your coverage will differ depending on which dentist you see. Call (650) 738-2100 and we will check your plan before you book.

We also accept CareCredit, HSA and FSA cards, and offer in-house payment plans with no credit check for qualifying patients. Every patient is paired with a team member who handles claims and follow-up with the insurance company on your behalf.
